Welcome to High Peak CoHo!
The High Peak CoHo Project aims to set up an Eco Village in the High Peak, with communal facilities and a focus on sustainability and self reliance.
Our vision is of a group of pragmatists who realise that their current lifestyles are unsustainable getting together to create a community that is sustainably fun.
What do we mean by Sustainably fun? Well, imagine this. A village, focused on a village green, and village hall and everyone in the village working on a communal farm. Communal childcare. Oh, and of course... a village pub. On hot summer days, playing rounders on the village green. A marquee going up for a wedding.
Of course, not yet knowing what the High peak Council will say, tomorrow we could be suggesting another location. Nothing about this project is yet set in stone (Actually that's a lie - it will be environmentally sound, involve a community and farming!)so we want to use this space as a form, to develop the ideas and the community. We hope you join us.
